Taco in a Pan

Sinclair River Bison Ranch is located on the eastern edge of the scenic Swan River Valley, not far from the town of Minitonas in beautiful Manitoba, Canada. Home to a herd of over 250 Free Range Buffalo, the ranch prides itself on running a natural herd, free from growth enhancing hormones and antibiotics.

Ingredients

  1. 1 pound ground bison 
  2. 1-1/2 cups water 
  3. 1 package taco seasoning mix 
  4. 1-1/2 cups Minute Rice, uncooked 
  5. 1 cup shredded cheese 
  6. 2 cups shredded lettuce 
  7. 2 cups chopped tomatoes 
  8. Crushed tortilla chips and sour cream for garnish

Steps

  1. Brown meat in large skillet. Add water and seasoning mix; stir. Bring to a boil.
  2. Stir in rice. Sprinkle with cheese; cover. Reduce heat to low; simmer 5 minutes. Top with lettuce and tomatoes.
  3. Garnish with chips and sour cream before serving.
