Sinclair River Bison Ranch is located on the eastern edge of the scenic Swan River Valley, not far from the town of Minitonas in beautiful Manitoba, Canada. Home to a herd of over 250 Free Range Buffalo, the ranch prides itself on running a natural herd, free from growth enhancing hormones and antibiotics.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 1-1/2 pounds deboned bison round steak, cut into serving-size pieces
- 2 tbsp canola oil
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup water
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 tbsp steak sauce
Steps
- Combine flour, salt and pepper. Dredge steak in flour mixture.
- In a skillet, brown steak in oil. Place in a 2-1/2 quart casserole. Top with celery, onion and mushrooms.
- Combine water, garlic and steak sauce; pour over vegetables.
- Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 1-1/2 hours or until the meat is tender.
- Other Method: This can also be made in a slow-cooker. Allow 6 hours of cooking time on low.
