Ingredients

  1. 1 package angel food cake mix or 1 recipe for angel food cake 
  2. 500 mL whipping cream 
  3. 2 baskets strawberries 
  4. Icing sugar 
  5. Vanilla extract

Steps

  1. Prepare an angel food cake of your choice in a tube or Bundt cake pan.
  2. Bake at 350°F for about 40 minutes.
  3. Flip over and remove from pan. Allow cake to cool.
  4. Meanwhile, as the cake is baking: Wash strawberries; cut 3/4 of the total strawberries in half and reserve the remaining whole strawberries to garnish the top of the cake.
  5. Beat whipping cream with icing sugar and add vanilla to taste.
  6. Cut the cake horizontally into three pieces (2 cuts).
  7. To put cake together, alternate: cake, whipped cream, cut strawberries, repeat.
  8. Arrange the whole strawberries nicely on top of the cake.
  9. Note: Put enough cream between cake layers so that it flows pleasantly over the sides.
