Salmon Burger

To garnish this beef burger alternative, add one or two slices of tomato, some lettuce and the condiments of your choice.

Ingredients

  1. 2 tins (2 x 7.5 oz; 2 x 200 g) salmon 
  2. 2 eggs 
  3. 2/3 cup (100 g) soda cracker crumbs 
  4. 1/2 tsp (0.5 g) thyme 
  5. 2 tbsp (30 mL; 18 g) onion, finely chopped 
  6. 1 tbsp (15 g) butter 
  7. Salt and pepper, to taste

Steps

  1. Drain the salmon.
  2. Combine all the ingredients, except the butter.
  3. Form patties.
  4. Fry the patties in butter until golden, about 5 minutes per side.
  5. Serve on hamburger buns.
