Ingredients
- 40 marshmallows
- 4 tbsp (60 mL) butter
- 1/2 tsp (2 mL) vanilla extract, optional
- 6 cups (1.5 L) Rice Krispies
Steps
- Melt the butter in a large saucepan.
- Add the marshmallows and mix well. Melt until the mixture is uniform in texture. Remove from the stove.
- Add the vanilla. Mix.
- Add the cereal and mix well.
- Butter a baking dish, about 12 inches in diameter. The smaller the dish, the taller the squares. The dish can be round, square or any other shape.
- Using a buttered spatula, press the batter into the dish. Let cool for 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
