Figs are at their peak during the holiday season. I love drizzling chestnut honey over these tasty gems before baking, but feel free to use any honey you have on hand. Purple figs are my personal favorite, but green ones will work perfectly, too. These will disappear quickly!
Prosciutto and Goat Cheese–Wrapped Figs

Ingredients
- 8 fresh figs cut in half horizontally
- 3 ounces/90 g soft goat’s milk cheese
- 8 thin slices prosciutto, cut in half lengthwise
- Chestnut honey
- Olive oil
- Salt and freshly cracked pepper to taste
- Ground cinnamon for garnish

Preheat the oven to 375ºF/190ºC (Gas Mark 5).

Place a small dab of goat’s milk cheese onto the cut side of a fig. Tightly wrap the fig half with one piece of prosciutto and place it on a baking sheet. Repeat with remaining figs and prosciutto.

Drizzle honey over the fig pieces, then drizzle with olive oil. Top with salt and freshly cracked pepper.

Bake the figs for 5 to 6 minutes. Serve warm, arranged on a platter and garnished with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
