Note: Serve the fondue in a small saucepan over a burner.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) maple syrup
- 2 cups (500 mL) table cream (preferably 15%)
- 2 tsp (10 g) cornstarch
- Mixed fruit, cut into chunks
- Sponge cake, cut into cubes
Steps
- In a saucepan, heat the maple syrup for about 5 minutes.
- In a bowl, dilute the cornstarch in 2 tsp (10 g) of cream. Heat the rest of the cream until boiling. Add it to the maple syrup and then add the cornstarch.
- Heat on low, stirring constantly until thickened.
