This absolutely yummy chili will have your guests asking for more.

Ingredients

  1. 2 lbs ground beef 
  2. 1 tbsp olive oil 
  3. 1 tsp butter 
  4. 2 onions, chopped 
  5.  
  6. 1 green pepper, sliced or chopped 
  7. 1 red pepper, sliced or chopped 
  8. 2 jalapeno peppers, thinly sliced 
  9. 3 cloves garlic, minced 
  10. 1 can black beans, rinsed and drained 
  11. 1 can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained 
  12. 2 tbsp chili powder 
  13. 1 tbsp cumin powder 
  14. 1 tbsp paprika 
  15. 1 tsp oregano 
  16. 1 tsp cilantro, or to taste 
  17. 3 to 4 drops Tabasco sauce 
  18. 3 to 4 drops Worcestershire sauce 
  19. Salt and pepper to taste 
  20. 1 tbsp sugar

  22. 1 can (28 oz) diced tomatoes 
  23. 1 can (7.5 oz) tomato sauce 
  24. 1 can (5.5 oz) tomato paste 
  25. 1 can (19 oz) tomato juice 
  26. 1-1/2 cup beef broth

Steps

  1. In a large pot, melt butter in oil. Add ground beef and brown. Add onions, red and green peppers and garlic. Add jalapeno and cook until veggies and softened.
  2. Stir mixture. Add spices and liquids. Adjust seasonings to taste.
  3. Simmer for an 1-1/2 hours over low heat, stirring occasionally. Add black and red beans and cook for another 5 to 10 minutes.
