Make Dad's day a special one by firing up the barbecue and grilling him this juicy, flavourful steak.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup (50 mL) grainy mustard
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) Worcestershire sauce
- Dash hot pepper sauce
- 6 strip loin grilling steaks, 3/4 inch (2 cm) thick (about 8 oz/250 g each)
- 1/4 tsp (1 mL) each salt and pepper
Steps
- In large shallow glass dish, whisk together oil, mustard, Worcestershire sauce and hot pepper sauce; add steaks, turning to coat. Cover and marinate in refrigerator for 1 hour. (Make-ahead: Refrigerate for up to 24 hours.)
- Remove steaks from marinade, reserving marinade; sprinkle steaks with salt and pepper. Place steaks on greased grill over medium-high heat; brush with marinade. Close lid and cook, turning steaks once, for about 8 minutes for medium-rare or until desired doneness. Let stand for about 5 minutes before serving.
