Ingredients
- Glenlochar Kitchens Black Magic Chili mix
- 1 lb hamburger
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup green and red peppers (chopped)
- 1 package (250 g) cream cheese
- 1 cup (250 ml) sour cream
- 1/2 cup green onion chopped
- 1-2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- Olives for garnish
Steps
- Cook the beans from the Black Magic Bean Chili mix in 3 cups water. Reserve some of the package's spices and veggies if possible. Drain beans and mash.
- Meanwhile, brown the hamburger. Add spices and dried veggies from soup mix and salt. Add 1 cup water and mashed black beans, peppers, hot sauce or hot peppers, or salsa can be added if a spicier taste is wanted.
- Place in a large flat ovenproof pan (9 x 14 inches).
- Mix together softened cream cheese, sour cream, chopped green onions (optional) and place on top of meat mix.
- Garnish with shredded cheese and black olives.
- Bake at 325°F for 30 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips. (We have also used this as a supper dish -- filled taco shells with it. Delicious!)
