Note: Can be prepared in advance. Refrigerate then reheat before serving.

Ingredients

  1. 1/4 cup (60 mL) vegetable oil 
  2. 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped 
  3. 1 tsp (2 mL) cornstarch 
  4. 1/4 cup (60 mL) relish 
  5. 2 tbsp (30 mL) white vinegar 
  6. 1/2 cup (125 mL) ketchup 
  7. 1 onion, finely chopped 
  8. 1/2 tsp (1 mL) salt 
  9. 1 tsp (2 mL) dry mustard 
  10. 1/8 tsp (a few drops) Tabasco sauce 
  11. 1/3 tsp (2 mL) Worcestershire sauce

Steps

  1. Heat the oil, garlic and onion in a heavy saucepan.
  2. Add the cornstarch. Cook for 1 minute.
  3. Add the other ingredients. Bring to a boil. Serve.
