Devil’s Sauce (for Chinese Hot Pot)

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 1 tsp (2 mL) cornstarch
- 1/4 cup (60 mL) relish
- 2 tbsp (30 mL) white vinegar
- 1/2 cup (125 mL) ketchup
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 tsp (1 mL) salt
- 1 tsp (2 mL) dry mustard
- 1/8 tsp (a few drops) Tabasco sauce
- 1/3 tsp (2 mL) Worcestershire sauce
Steps
- Heat the oil, garlic and onion in a heavy saucepan.
- Add the cornstarch. Cook for 1 minute.
- Add the other ingredients. Bring to a boil. Serve.
