Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cup (175 mL) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup (112 g) sugar
- 3 tsp (15 g) baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 1 cup (250 mL) milk
- 1/3 cup (85 mL) melted butter
- 1 egg
- 1 cup (250 mL) semi-sweet chocolate chips
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 375 F (190 C).
- Combine the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, chocolate) in a large bowl and the rest of the ingredients (milk, butter, egg) in a small bowl.
- Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients. Stir until combined.
- Pour into 12 greased muffin cups and bake on the middle rack for 20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean and the muffin tops are golden.
- Let cool before removing the muffins from the pan.
