Ingredients
- 1/2 green pepper, diced
- 1/4 red pepper, diced
- 1/2 zucchini, grated
- 1 stalk celery, diced
- 2 green onions
- 1 2/3 cups (350 g) rice
- 1 small chicken breast, cubed
- 1 cup (250 mL) sweet and sour sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Vegetable oil, for cooking
Steps
- Dice the vegetables (peppers, zucchini, celery, green onions). Cube the chicken.
- Start cooking the rice (about 16 minutes).
- Pour a good amount of oil into a wok set to high and sauté the chicken for 2 or 3 minutes.
- Lower the heat to medium-high and add the diced vegetables to the chicken in the wok. Cook for 10 minutes, until the peppers become tender, stirring from time to time, especially at the beginning and near the end.
- Add the sweet and sour sauce directly into the wok. Combine.
- Add the rice to the wok. Combine.
- Season.
