Ingredients

  1. 2 large russet potatoes, peeled and diced 
  2. 1/2 a head of cauliflower florets 
  3. 2 cloves garlic 
  4. 1 tbsp margarine or butter 
  5. potato water or milk to moisten mash 
  6. salt and pepper to taste

Steps

  1. Peel potatoes, dice and place in pot of cold water.
  2. Cut the cauliflower florets off the stem and add to potatoes in water.
  3. Add whole peeled garlic to water and bring potatoes and cauliflower to boil.
  4. When potatoes, garlic and cauliflower are soft, strain and mash till smooth.
  5. Add water or milk and margarine to mash to bind. Add the seasoning.
