Ingredients
- 2 smoked sausages (4 oz/125 g), diced
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 tsp (10 mL) ground cumin
- 2 tbsp (25 mL) tomato paste
- 1 can (19 oz/540 mL) black beans, drained and rinsed
Steps
- In large saucepan, brown sausages over medium heat, about 5 minutes. Add onion and cumin; cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, 2 minutes.
- Add tomato paste; cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Add beans and 4 cups (1 L) water; bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
