Sinclair River Bison Ranch is located on the eastern edge of the scenic Swan River Valley, not far from the town of Minitonas in beautiful Manitoba, Canada. Home to a herd of over 250 Free Range Buffalo, the ranch prides itself on running a natural herd, free from growth enhancing hormones and antibiotics.
Ingredients
- 3 pounds round bison steak, cut into serving-size pieces
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp margarine
- 1-1/2 cups water
- 1-1/2 cups sour cream
- 1 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup Soya sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1-1/2 tsp each salt, pepper, paprika, and dry mustard
- 3 tbsp flour
Steps
- Fry steak in oil and butter on both sides until browned.
- Place in slow cooker. Mix remaining ingredients together and pour over steak.
- Cook for 6 to 8 hours on low heat, until tender.
