Berry and Almond Pizza

Ingredients

  1. 1 (6-inch) whole-wheat pita 
  2. 3 tablespoons almond butter 
  3. 1/3 cup fresh berries 
  4. 1 tablespoon slivered or sliced almonds, roasted

Steps

  1. Toast pita.
  2. Spread with almond butter, and sprinkle with fresh berries and almonds.
  3. Cut in half and serve.
  4. To roast almonds: Spread in an ungreased baking pan. Place in 350ºF oven and bake 10 minutes or until golden brown and fragrant; stir once or twice to assure even browning. Note that almonds will continue to roast slightly after removing from oven.
