Some good vegetables for these skwerers include onions, green peppers, mushrooms, squash, cherry tomatoes, etc. Serve over white rice and serve with a little marinade over the rice and beef.

Ingredients

  1. 1-1/2 cup (375 ml) vegetable oil 
  2. 1 cup (250 ml) balsamic vinegar 
  3. 2/3 cup (170 ml) water 
  4. 2/3 cup (170 ml) sugar 
  5. 3 tbsp (45 ml) beef bouillon 
  6. 3 tbsp (45 ml) garlic powder 
  7. 3 tbsp (45 ml) paprika 
  8. 3 tbsp (45 ml) dry mustard 
  9. 1-1/2 lb (675 g) beef, cubed 
  10. Vegetables of your choice, chopped into bite-sized pieces

Steps

  1. Boil water and remove from heat.
  2. Add sugar, bouillon, garlic powder, paprika and dry mustard to boiling water.
  3. Stir well so that the sugar is dissolved. Add vinegar and oil.
  4. Put the beef and vegetables into the marinade.
  5. Put mixture in the refrigerator for 4 to 6 hours.
  6. Thread the beef and vegetables onto skewers and put the marinade in a baking dish supporting the skewers.
  7. Bake for approximately 30 to 40 minutes at 350°F (180°C), turning occasionally.
