Ingredients
- 1/2 onion
- 3 tbsp (45 mL) butter
- 3 tbsp (45 mL) flour
- 2 cups (500 mL) milk
- 1/4 tbsp (1 mL) nutmeg
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Steps
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and add the flour. Let cook for 2 minutes while stirring.
- Add the milk and onion. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes, stirring constantly.
- Remove the onion. Add the seasonings. Serve.
