Ingredients

  1. 1/4 tsp (1 g) salt
  2. 1/4 tsp (1 g) pepper
  3. 1/4 tsp (1 g) paprika
  4. 1/4 tsp (1 g) cinnamon
  5. 1 clove garlic, crushed
  6. 4 tbsp (60 g) garlic powder
  7. 3/4 cup (170 g) brown sugar
  8. 1/4 cup (60 mL) apple sauce
  9. 1/4 cup (60 mL) ketchup
  10. 3 tbsp (45 mL) lemon juice

Steps

  1. Mix all of the marinade ingredients and then mix once again with the spare ribs.
  2. In a large ovenproof dish, cook at 300 F for 2 hours.
  3. Personally, I like to finish the cooking on the barbecue to give it some crispiness, but you can use the broiler instead. If you use the broiler, keep an eye on the ribs so they don’t burn.
