Ingredients
- 1 can (250 mL) asparagus
- 2 tbsp (16 g) flour
- 2 tbsp (30 g) butter
- 1 cup (250 mL) milk
- Mozzarella cheese
- Salt, pepper and cayenne
- 6 slices cooked ham
Steps
- Make a béchamel sauce by melting the butter and adding the flour.
- Gradually stir in the milk and thicken until smooth.
- Season to taste.
- Pour the béchamel sauce over the bottom of an ovenproof baking dish.
- Roll 3 or 4 asparagus spears in a slice of ham and lay on the sauce.
- Add the grated mozzarella.
- Bake in 350 F (180 C) oven for 15 minutes and then broil until the cheese is golden.
