Aiolis

Any of these garlicky mayonnaise mixtures dresses up hamburgers, steak, fish, chicken or a favourite sandwich. Or use them as dips for crunchy vegetables.

Ingredients

  1. Garlic Aioli: 
  2. 1/2 cup (125 mL) mayonnaise 
  3. 1 clove garlic, minced 
  4. 1 tsp (5 mL) lemon juice 
  5. Pinch salt

Steps

  1. In bowl, combine mayonnaise, garlic, lemon juice and salt.
  2. Variations
    Mustard Aioli: Add 2 tbsp (25 mL) grainy mustard.

    Pesto Aioli: Add 2 tbsp (25 mL) prepared pesto.

    Roasted Red Pepper Aioli: In food processor or blender, add 1/2 cup (125 mL) roasted red pepper to Garlic Aioli; purée until smooth.

    Horseradish Aioli: Add 2 tsp (10 mL) horseradish.
